The Daily War Room is a daily newsletter published by Eric Vevang ("we," "us," "our"). We deliver a morning intelligence briefing via email to subscribers who have opted in to receive it. Our website is located at thedailywarroom.com.
When you subscribe to The Daily War Room, we collect your email address. If you purchase a paid subscription, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your name, email address, and payment information. We do not store your credit card number on our servers.
Our email delivery service (SendGrid) may collect data related to email delivery and engagement, including whether an email was opened, which links were clicked, the time of interaction, and the IP address and device type used. This data helps us understand how our newsletter is performing and improve the content we deliver.
Our website does not use cookies for advertising or third-party tracking. If you visit our site, standard server logs may record your IP address, browser type, and pages visited.
We use your information to deliver the newsletter you subscribed to, process payments for paid subscriptions, send transactional emails related to your account (welcome emails, subscription confirmations, payment receipts), monitor email deliverability and engagement to improve our content, and respond to your questions or requests.
We do not sell, rent, or share your email address or personal information with any third party for marketing purposes. We will never monetize your data.
We use the following services to operate The Daily War Room. These providers process your data solely on our behalf and in accordance with their own privacy policies.
We use SendGrid to deliver our newsletter emails. SendGrid processes your email address and email engagement data (opens, clicks) on our behalf. SendGrid's privacy policy is available at twilio.com/legal/privacy.
We use Stripe to process paid subscription payments. Stripe collects and processes your payment information directly. We do not have access to your full credit card number. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
Our website is hosted on GoDaddy's cPanel hosting platform. Standard server logs may be collected as part of hosting operations. GoDaddy's privacy policy is available at godaddy.com/legal.
Every newsletter email we send includes a functioning unsubscribe link in the footer. You may unsubscribe at any time. We will honor your request within 48 hours, and no later than 10 days as required by law. Once you unsubscribe, you will not receive further newsletter emails from us unless you re-subscribe.
If you are a paid subscriber, you can manage your subscription, update your payment method, or cancel through the Stripe customer portal linked in every paid newsletter email.
You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, or request that we delete it, by emailing briefing@thedailywarroom.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days.
We retain your email address for as long as you remain subscribed to The Daily War Room. If you unsubscribe, we will remove your email address from our active mailing lists. Stripe retains payment records in accordance with financial regulatory requirements. SendGrid may retain delivery logs for up to 7 days for anti-fraud and troubleshooting purposes.
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information. All data transmitted between your browser and our website is encrypted via SSL/TLS. Email delivery through SendGrid uses TLS encryption in transit. Payment processing through Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant. Access to our systems and accounts is protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication where available.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Daily War Room is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, request deletion of your personal information, and opt out of the sale of your personal information. The Daily War Room is operated from the United States. If you are accessing our services from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By subscribing, you consent to this transfer. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, our email delivery provider SendGrid uses Standard Contractual Clauses as a lawful mechanism for cross-border data transfers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by including a notice in our newsletter or updating this page. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
